This range represents

organic dyes and pigments for personal care, toiletry
and home care applications.
Products are
manufactured under highly controlled processes to

cosmetic legislation as applicable, namely that of US
FDA, European Community, Japan or India.
Organic Lakes & Inorganic Pigments
For
Decorative Cosmetics
Lavanya organic lakes
are range of aluminum, barium, calcium or talc lakes.
Lavanya inorganic pigments mainly consist of iron
oxides, ultramarines and Titanium Dioxide.
Lakes
are produced by the adsorption of water soluble dye
onto a substrate rendering the colour insoluble
in
water. Products are manufactured with unique
proprietary technology to achieve extremely soft and
fine particles. Particle size plays an important role
in the final product incorporation. It also is a key
factor to achieve consistency in shades.
Main
applications for both are decorative cosmetic products
like lipsticks, eye make up, nail lacquers and face
make up.

Pastes for Lipsticks
(Known popularly as Mud in
India)
While using the powder form of
lakes, consistency of shade & strength from batch
to batch as well as formation of specks is a major
concern for manufacturers of lipsticks. A typical
lipstick formulation can comprise up to 6 - 7 colours.
This makes the job of achieving an exact shade
difficult. To avoid this as well as providing many
other benefits as mentioned below; Neelikon has
developed a range of cosmetic grade pastes. These
pastes are a composition made from FD&C Lakes,
D&C Dyes, Titanium Dioxide &/or other cosmetic
grade colorants that are dispersed in cosmetic-grade
carriers.
